Foreign language and literature (English)

One credit equals 30 academic hours.

A student’s weekly classroom workload is up to 32 hours.

When developing the working curriculum based on the academic curriculum, it is allowed to change the volume of subject blocks by up to 5% and the volume of subjects within the blocks by up to 10%, while maintaining the total weekly student workload. At the same time, while keeping the total classroom workload unchanged, the weekly workload in certain semesters can be determined freely.

Specialization elective subjects are taught if at least one academic group is formed. The number of subjects offered for specialization electives must not exceed three. Depending on the nature of the subject, lecture, practical, seminar, and laboratory hours are selected.

Semesters 5–6 are organized in a 4+2 format, where 4 weeks are allocated for theoretical and practical training, and 2 weeks for pedagogical practice.

Changes to specialization elective subjects may be made based on the decision of the University Council, taking into account the requirements of employers. The subject “Foreign Languages for Professional Purposes (ECTS)” must be included as a mandatory elective specialization subject.

Practical classes and laboratory work for specialization subjects included in the curriculum are conducted at higher education institutions as well as at partner organizations and enterprises.

To ensure the integration of theory and practice, students’ qualification internships are conducted at partner organizations and enterprises.

The period of final state attestation includes the defense of the graduation qualification thesis.

For students who are not recommended for defending the graduation qualification thesis, a special course in core subjects is organized, and a state exam is taken based on this special course.
