Pediatrics

The Faculty of Pediatrics was established in 1993 at the Urgench Branch of the Tashkent Medical Academy.

The faculty’s deans have included:

• S.M. Masharipov (1993–1995);
• B.A. Hidayatov (1995);
• K.J. Jabborov (1996);
• M.R. Musayev (1997–2008);
• A.Q. Quryazov (2009–2013);
• M.R. Rahmetova (2013–2015);
• Sh.R. Yusupov (2015–2017);
• R.B. Abdullayev (2017–2019).

Since 2019, Sharofat Aminovna Sapayeva, Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Anatomy, has been serving as Dean of the Faculty.

More than 100 highly qualified professors and lecturers work across the faculty’s seven departments.

Currently, the faculty offers programs in Pediatrics, Advanced Nursing, Vocational Education, and Traditional Medicine, with more than 600 students enrolled. Each year, the faculty graduates more than 90 pediatricians and around 30 highly qualified nurses, with at least three graduates receiving honors diplomas.
