Program goals and objectives:
The goal of this educational program is to form fundamental physical knowledge and practical skills in the field of medical physics in students, to prepare them as highly qualified specialists who have a deep understanding of the basic physical principles underlying the operation of modern medical equipment and devices, and are able to work with high-tech medical equipment in healthcare institutions. A graduate of the bachelor's program will have fundamental knowledge and professional competencies and will be stable and competitive in the labor market.
Field of professional activity:
Medical physics, nuclear medicine, radiation safety, research into the interaction of ionizing radiation with biological objects, development, implementation and use of medical equipment and diagnostic and therapeutic equipment, as well as research and pedagogical activities.
Objects of professional activity:
Biological objects of various levels, ionizing radiation sources, medical equipment (radiotherapy, gamma and proton therapy, PET/CT, MRI, X-ray diagnostic equipment), detectors and dosimetric systems, as well as software complexes for modeling physical processes and data processing.
Features of the curriculum:
The educational process is based on fundamental physical and mathematical training and is aimed at developing in-depth theoretical knowledge and practical skills in students. The main disciplines include medical physics, nuclear medicine, radiation safety and dosimetry, radiation therapy and diagnostics, methods of visualization of medical images, as well as radiobiology. Special attention is paid to working with modern medical equipment, using analytical simulators and VR simulators. Graduates have the opportunity to practice in leading clinics and research centers in Uzbekistan and abroad.
