About the programme
Primary Education
The "Primary Education" program is a professional education program formed at the intersection of the fields of pedagogy and psychology. Its principal aim is to train highly qualified teaching staff, grounded in a competency-based approach, for the primary stage (grades 1–4) of the general secondary education system. The program entails mastering a body of scholarly and methodological knowledge directed at ensuring the knowledge, skills, and competencies of primary school–age pupils (6–10/11 years old), as well as their intellectual, moral, aesthetic, and physical development.
Object and Subject of Professional Activity
The object of the future specialist's professional activity is the pedagogical process within the primary education system—that is, the integral unity of teaching, upbringing, and development. The subject of this activity is the management, through scientifically grounded methodologies, of the processes of forming in young pupils both their initial academic skills (reading, writing, and arithmetic) and their general-cultural and personal competencies.
