About the programme
In 1991, after the Tashkent Institute of Architecture and Construction was established, this department was renamed “Economics and Management”. From 1983 to 2004, the department was headed by Doctor of Economics, Professor M.Q. Ziyayev. By order of the rector of the Tashkent Institute of Architecture and Construction No. 144 dated July 12, 2002, two new departments “Economics in Construction” and “Management” were established on the basis of the “Economics and Management” department, which train specialists. Since October 2010, in accordance with the Resolution of the Scientific Council of the Tashkent Institute of Architecture and Construction, the department has been operating under the name “Economics and Real Estate Management”. In accordance with the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PQ-416 dated November 8, 2022, since 2024, it has been operating under the name of the “Economics and Real Estate” department. The head of the department is Akhmedova Nilufar Shukhratovna.
Today, the scientific potential of the department is 62.5 percent. Currently, the department has a total of 16 professors and teachers. Of these, 3 are professors, 5 associate professors, 3 associate professors, etc., 3 senior teachers and 2 assistants. These professors and teachers have published several textbooks, manuals, methodological guides, monographs and scientific articles in the fields of Economics (construction), “Value engineering and real estate expertise”.
Currently, the department is preparing bachelor's degrees in the educational areas 60310100-“Economics” and 60730700-“Value engineering and real estate management”, and master's degrees in the specialties 70310100-“Economics” and 70730700-“Value engineering and real estate management”.
The department team teaches students at the university in more than 45 subjects. The department also carries out a number of works to provide the educational process with modern textbooks and educational literature. Over the past three years, 15 textbooks, more than 30 teaching aids, and 7 monographs have been published in the subjects. Educational methodological complexes for 45 subjects have been created and introduced into the educational process and delivered to students in the form of electronic literature.
The scientists of the department are conducting scientific research on the development of social infrastructure in Uzbekistan, the formation of prices in construction, the improvement of methodological foundations of real estate valuation, and the improvement of organizational and economic relations in construction.
In order to develop innovative corporate cooperation with production, the department annually carries out large-scale scientific work on the basis of economic contracts with more than 20 construction organizations.
Talented students of the department successfully participate in the Republican Science Olympiads in Economic Theory, Accounting, Macroeconomics and Microeconomics, which are regularly held.
During the activities of the department, scientists of the department conduct scientific research on the development of social infrastructure in Uzbekistan, the formation of prices in construction, improving the methodological foundations of real estate valuation, and improving organizational and economic relations in construction.
