About the programme
The "Uzbek Language and Literature" major is designed to train specialists who deeply study the theoretical foundations of the Uzbek language, the rich heritage of national literature, and the achievements of modern linguistics.
In this program, students study Uzbek grammar, linguistics, literary theory, the history of Uzbek and world literature, speech culture, textual criticism, and native language teaching methodology. Throughout the educational process, theoretical knowledge is combined with practical sessions, developing students' skills in analyzing literary works, conducting scientific research, and effectively organizing the educational process.
Graduates can work in secondary schools, academic lyceums, higher education institutions, research centers, publishing houses, mass media, as well as various governmental and non-governmental organizations.
