The Tashkent Branch of D. Mendeleev University of Chemical Technology of Russia is the first foreign branch of one of Russia’s leading universities in the fields of chemical technology, materials science, engineering education, and sustainable technological development.
About Mendeleev University
The university is one of the leading specialized higher education institutions of the Russian Federation in the fields of chemical technology, chemical engineering, materials science, ecology, biotechnology, and related engineering areas.
The university is a federal state budgetary educational institution of higher education and serves as a major educational and research center in the chemical technology field.
Tashkent Branch
The Tashkent Branch of D. Mendeleev University of Chemical Technology of Russia was established in 2019 in accordance with Resolution No. PP-4352 of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated June 7, 2019.
The main purpose of establishing the branch is to further improve the system of training qualified specialists for priority sectors of the Republic of Uzbekistan’s industry, develop scientific research, and expand international cooperation in higher education.
The branch serves as an educational platform of one of the leading chemical technology universities of the Russian Federation and trains specialists in areas demanded by the chemical industry, petrochemistry, production of mineral fertilizers, polymer materials, pharmaceutical products, materials for modern energy, environmental protection, and technosphere safety.
In the future, the Tashkent Branch is considered an important platform for the development of engineering education, chemical engineering, digitalization of chemical technologies, and the training of specialists for the mineral resource sector, polymer industry, pharmaceuticals, environmental safety, and new materials.
Educational Environment
The educational process at the branch is conducted in Russian and is based on Russian educational standards, taking into account the needs of the economy and industrial sectors of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Upon graduation, students receive diplomas of the established standard issued by D. Mendeleev University of Chemical Technology of Russia. These diplomas are recognized in Uzbekistan, Russia, and the CIS countries.

Admission of International Students to the Tashkent Branch of D. Mendeleev University of Chemical Technology of Russia
The Tashkent Branch of D. Mendeleev University of Chemical Technology of Russia invites foreign citizens to pursue higher education in high-demand engineering, chemical technology, and natural science fields. The branch was established in 2019 and serves as an educational platform of one of the leading specialized universities of the Russian Federation in chemical technology, chemical engineering, materials science, industrial safety, and related areas.
Education at the branch is focused on training specialists for the chemical industry, petrochemistry, production of mineral fertilizers, polymer materials, pharmaceutical products, new materials, environmental and technosphere safety, as well as the digitalization of chemical technologies.
Educational Programs
The branch offers bachelor’s and master’s degree programs in priority fields of study.
At the bachelor’s level, training is provided in areas related to the chemical technology of mineral fertilizers, high-molecular compounds, pharmaceutical products, materials for modern energy, technosphere safety, programming and artificial intelligence in chemical technology, as well as modern digital chemical engineering.
At the master’s level, programs are implemented to train specialists in biologically active substances, mineral fertilizers, environmental engineering protection, and nanomaterials.
Admission Requirements
To enter bachelor’s degree programs, international applicants must have a document confirming the completion of general secondary, secondary specialized, or vocational education.
To enter master’s degree programs, applicants must hold a bachelor’s diploma or another higher education document in a relevant or closely related field of study.
Applicants are recommended to have a sufficient command of the Russian language to complete the educational program. If necessary, candidates may clarify the possibility of taking preparatory courses in specialized subjects and the Russian language.
Required Documents
As a rule, foreign citizens submit the following documents when applying:
- application form of the established format;
- copy of passport;
- education document with transcript;
- translation of documents into Russian, certified in the established manner;
- photo of the required format;
- other documents required by the admission rules.
The list of documents may be clarified depending on the applicant’s citizenship, selected educational program, and the requirements of the admission committee.
Admission Procedure
The admission procedure for international students includes submission of documents, verification by the admission committee, and passing entrance examinations or an interview in accordance with the established admission rules.
Candidates who successfully pass the selection process are given the opportunity to study at the Tashkent Branch of D. Mendeleev University of Chemical Technology of Russia in their chosen educational program.
Application Period
Applications to the Tashkent Branch of D. Mendeleev University of Chemical Technology of Russia are accepted from June 20 to August 15, 2026.
Applicants are advised to prepare the required documents in advance and contact the branch admission committee in a timely manner.

Education and Adaptation
Education at the branch is conducted in Russian. Along with specialized disciplines, students also study the Uzbek language and the history of Uzbekistan. This helps them adapt to the educational and cultural environment of Uzbekistan.

February 2026
On February 3, 2026, a meeting was held with Ruslan Imandzade Mirzabin oglu, Head of the Association of Entrepreneurs of Azerbaijan, Turkey, and Uzbekistan. The parties discussed prospects for joint educational, scientific-practical, and investment projects, cooperation with universities, industrial enterprises, and the business community of the Republic of Azerbaijan, as well as attracting international students from Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, and Kyrgyzstan.
On February 9, 2026, the branch leadership and students participated in the 27th International Construction Exhibition “UzBuild 2026” held at the Uzexpocentre NEC. Meetings were held with representatives of industrial enterprises, construction companies, and potential partners on personnel training, industrial internships, joint projects, and the implementation of innovative technologies.
On February 11, 2026, the branch leadership visited ZUMA PHARMA LLC. During the meeting with the company’s General Director Jasur Ravshanovich Adilov and Quality Director, foreign specialist Dr. Vikas Kumar, the parties discussed training personnel for the pharmaceutical industry, organizing student industrial practice, teacher internships, involving company specialists in the educational process, and implementing joint research projects.
On February 24, 2026, a meeting was held at the branch with representatives of the Azerbaijani company Dasteg Group Logix. The negotiations focused on training responsible university staff in ERP management and organizing specialized educational courses.
On February 26, 2026, a meeting was held with a delegation from the Institute of Industry and Service of the Sughd Region of the Republic of Tajikistan. The parties discussed cooperation under the existing memorandum, joint educational programs, student academic mobility, internships and professional development for teachers, summer schools, industrial practice, and joint research projects.
March 2026
On March 1, 2026, the branch hosted a meeting with Du Jinli, Executive Director of the Chinese company Glory Technology Co. The parties discussed cooperation with Hebei University of Technology, student academic mobility, implementation of joint 2+2 educational programs, and sending branch faculty members abroad for internships and professional development programs.
Special attention was paid to the prospects of creating a specialized pharmaceutical laboratory based on the branch’s laboratory complex, as well as attracting international students from the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region of the People’s Republic of China. Following the negotiations, the parties agreed to prepare and sign a Memorandum of Cooperation between the Tashkent Branch of RCTU and Glory Technology Co.
On March 13, 2026, branch students visited the ZumaFarm pharmaceutical enterprise in Parkent District. During the visit, students became acquainted with production processes, laboratory equipment, the quality control system, and requirements for young specialists. Issues related to practical training, internships, employment, and further cooperation with the enterprise were discussed.
April 2026
On April 2, 2026, the branch hosted an open seminar as part of the “Hour of the Future” project with the participation of Akram Zokir Rustamovich, Head of the Scientific and Technical Center for Rare Metals of JSC TMK. The seminar covered modern trends in the development of the rare metals industry, the implementation of innovative technologies, personnel training, research development, and the expansion of interaction between education and the industrial sector.
On April 13, 2026, a delegation from OSTİM Technical University of the Republic of Turkey visited the Tashkent Branch of RCTU. The parties discussed joint educational programs in 2+2 and 1+1 formats, academic mobility of students and teachers, joint research projects, support for innovation and startup projects, and strengthening cooperation with industrial enterprises. The experience of OSTİM Technical University in dual education and integration of the educational process with production is of particular interest to the branch.
On April 29, 2026, the branch hosted a meeting with representatives of a Pakistani educational agency. The negotiations focused on expanding international cooperation, attracting applicants from Pakistan, creating a transparent admission mechanism, providing information support for international students, and developing joint educational initiatives, academic mobility, and preparatory courses.
May 2026
On May 5, 2026, the Tashkent Branch of RCTU participated in the Uzbek-Turkish Business Forum on trade, economic, and investment cooperation held at Hilton Tashkent City. More than 170 entrepreneurs, investors, and representatives of government agencies took part in the event. Following the forum, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the Tashkent Branch of D. Mendeleev University of Chemical Technology of Russia and OSTİM Technical University. The document provides for the development of joint educational programs, double-degree programs, academic mobility, joint research projects, and support for innovation and startup initiatives.
On May 15, 2026, a representative of the branch participated in a republican practical seminar on attracting international students and organizing the operation of the “Study in Uzbekistan” platform. Starting from the 2026/2027 academic year, this platform is considered as a unified electronic mechanism for admitting foreign citizens to higher education institutions of Uzbekistan.
On May 18, 2026, branch students and an employee of the International Cooperation Department participated in the “International Youth Peace Summit – 2026” in Tashkent. The summit brought together representatives from Uzbekistan, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Algeria, and other countries. The event addressed international cooperation, intercultural dialogue, youth diplomacy, and support for youth initiatives.
In May 2026, as part of an international forum in the People’s Republic of China, branch representatives met with Emma Hu, Director of NATUX Technology Co., LTD. The parties discussed cooperation in education, innovative technologies, automation, industrial solutions, scientific-practical projects, and experience exchange programs.
In May 2026, a meeting was held in Xi’an with representatives of Tianjin Agricultural University. The parties discussed academic exchange of students and teachers, development of research activities, joint educational programs, and cooperation in modern agricultural technologies, energy, robotics, and innovative developments.
On May 25, 2026, a delegation from the Tashkent Branch of RCTU visited Xi’an Technological University. During the visit, an official meeting was held between Anvar Shernaev, Head of the International Relations Department of the branch, and Meng Jing, Head of the Academic Department of Xi’an Technological University. Following the negotiations, the parties signed a Memorandum of Cooperation aimed at developing academic and scientific ties, implementing joint educational programs, and expanding cooperation in research activities.
June 2026
On June 17, 2026, an online video conference was held between the leadership of D. Mendeleev University of Chemical Technology of Russia, the Tashkent Branch of RCTU, and Chinese partners on the implementation of a joint educational project with Henan Vocational College of Applied Technology. The parties discussed launching 2+2 and 3+1 programs, preparing a framework agreement, coordinating curricula, and the possibility of issuing graduates educational documents from two educational organizations in the established manner.
