About the university
Denov Institute of Entrepreneurship and Pedagogy (DIEP) is a modern and rapidly developing higher education institution located in the southern region of Uzbekistan, and is one of the first entrepreneurship-oriented institutes in the republic. The institution was established on the basis of the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated April 17, 2020, No. PP-4681, "On measures to expand and further improve the system of training highly qualified personnel in the Surkhandarya region." Today, DIEP stands out for its expanding infrastructure, high scientific potential, and international partnership relations.
The institute has 4 faculties and 16 departments. A total of 7,988 students study here in 32 bachelor's programs and 16 master's specializations. The faculty staff numbers 330 people, of whom 10 are Doctors of Science (DSc), 104 are Candidates of Science (PhD), and the overall scientific potential is 35%.
DIEP has its own publishing base, which annually publishes around 100 scientific and educational-methodological publications. The institute publishes the scientific-methodological journal "Entrepreneurship and Pedagogy" (since 2023).
Consistent work is being carried out at the institute to create broad opportunities for students to gain modern knowledge, develop intellectually and physically, and engage in systematic research. In particular, in 2023, within the state investment program, the following were commissioned: a modern academic building with 1,200 seats, a student dormitory with 750 seats, a Digital Economy Center equipped with all modern technologies, and the Information Resource Center building. In 2025, a new campus consisting of the "Career Center" building was completed — a modern center designed to assist students and graduates in determining their professional directions, developing practical skills, and in employment processes. All these facilities serve to create a comfortable and safe environment for students.
In January 2026, the "Modeling of Physical Processes" scientific laboratory was established at the Department of General Physics and Construction Engineering of Denov Institute of Entrepreneurship and Pedagogy. The laboratory specializes in modeling physical processes based on modern computing technologies, developing scientific research, and supporting young scientists. High-performance computer equipment worth approximately 230 million soums was purchased for the laboratory, creating a modern scientific infrastructure. As a result, it became possible to create complex mathematical models and process large volumes of scientific data.
The Information Resource Center (IRC) in its new building has a study hall with 350 seats, of which 105 are equipped with modern computers. The IRC fund includes 36,954 titles of printed publications (14,725 copies). In addition, the fund stores 98,779 electronic and 910 audio resource titles. 100% of educational literature has been converted to electronic format and placed on the platform. Remote services are provided to users through the website https://library.dtpi.uz/ and the Telegram channel @dtpiarm4242. The institute is also connected to the "Unified Electronic Library" platform (http://unilibrary.uz), which contains 552,759 electronic resources, including 89,950 articles, 83,089 dissertations, and 25,457 monographs.
The institute is also active in the field of international cooperation. DIEP has established ties with more than 50 prestigious higher education and scientific institutions in countries such as Russia, Tajikistan, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Afghanistan, the USA, South Korea, India, Belarus, Indonesia, Kyrgyzstan, and China. In particular, cooperation is maintained with the Adyghe, Altai, Novosibirsk, Tomsk, Kazan Federal and other leading universities of Russia; national and sectoral universities of Tajikistan; Anadolu, Hacettepe, and Istanbul Technical Universities of Turkey; California State University (San Bernardino, USA); Hanshin and Jungwon Universities of South Korea; Indira Gandhi Agricultural University of India; Belarusian State and Brest Universities; and the Beijing Institute of Graphic Communication of China.
Denov Institute of Entrepreneurship and Pedagogy, through its modern material and technical base, highly qualified faculty, digital-rich library, and international connections, is becoming a center of education and entrepreneurship in the southern region of Uzbekistan. The institute is focused on training competitive specialists not only in pedagogical and entrepreneurship fields, but also across a wide range of scientific disciplines.
