In accordance with Goal No. 49 of the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated January 28, 2022, “On the Development Strategy of New Uzbekistan for 2022–2026”, the State Inspectorate for Supervision of Quality in Education under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan granted a license for higher education activities to the newly established Termez University of Economics and Service on November 16, 2022.

On June 28, 2024, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev attended the opening ceremony of the university’s newly constructed main building during a video conference meeting dedicated to Youth Day – June 30. The new academic building, built based on modern technologies and equipped with all necessary facilities, is designed to accommodate 12,000 students simultaneously.

The university consists of 3 faculties:

• Faculty of Pedagogy and Social Sciences;
• Faculty of Economics and Information Technologies;
• Faculty of Medicine.

The university also has a Master’s Degree Department.

Currently, Termez University of Economics and Service has 8 academic buildings, which can accommodate more than 30,000 students at the same time. All classrooms are equipped with Wi-Fi systems and interactive boards.

The university has 3 Information and Library Centers with a collection of more than 40,000 books, 4 electronic learning halls with a capacity of 200 people, and 14 computer laboratories. Students have access to a sports hall and a football field. In addition, 4 cafeterias and 7 buffets operate on the university campus.

The Faculty of Medicine has sufficient material and technical resources for students’ practical training. The faculty includes a 150-seat dentistry laboratory manufactured by the Turkish company “Ermetal”, 6 medical laboratories, 2 subject laboratories, more than 100 anatomical models, reagents, and drying cabinets.

Furthermore, educational and practical training rooms for students have been established in more than 10 medical institutions operating in the region. These facilities have been equipped with the necessary resources by the university.

Today, more than 600 professors and lecturers with strong academic potential work at the university. Among them are 22 Doctors of Science (DSc) and 249 Candidates of Science and Doctors of Philosophy (PhD). Notably, in 2025 alone, nearly 30 university researchers successfully obtained academic degrees and titles.

Over the past three years, 20 national and international scientific-practical conferences have been organized at the university in order to involve young researchers and students in scientific activities, develop their skills in presenting research results, and establish scientific cooperation with other higher education institutions.

In addition, university researchers are currently implementing 2 applied projects and working on 8 startup projects. The university has also signed innovation-based cooperation agreements with more than 60 enterprises and organizations in the region, enabling university scientists to collaborate with these institutions.

In October 2025, the Scientific Council for awarding academic degrees in 3 specialties was established at the university. This became an important milestone that significantly contributed to strengthening the scientific capacity of the university and higher education institutions in the region.

Student Visa Application Process

The visa application process is carried out through the following stages:

1. Admission to the University

International applicants submit an online application and provide the required documents. After successful evaluation of the documents and interview results, applicants receive an official admission letter from the university.

2. Preparation of Visa Documentation

Upon admission, the International Cooperation Department prepares the necessary documents required for obtaining a student visa and submits them to the relevant governmental authorities.

3. Visa Approval

After the review process is completed by the authorized authorities, a visa approval letter is issued. Throughout this process, the university provides continuous information and consultation support to the student.

4. Entry into the Republic of Uzbekistan

Students obtain their student visa through the Embassy or Consulate of the Republic of Uzbekistan in their home country and receive permission to enter Uzbekistan.

5. Registration at the University

Upon arrival in Uzbekistan, students are welcomed by university representatives and receive practical assistance with migration procedures and temporary residence registration.

The EduHub Language Center is one of the modern educational centers of Termez University of Economics and Service, dedicated to developing students’ language skills, fostering an international learning environment, and enhancing academic and research potential. Furthermore, IELTS international examinations are regularly conducted on the campus of Termez University of Economics and Service. This provides young people from the Surkhandarya region and neighboring areas with the opportunity to take internationally recognized language proficiency tests locally, saving both time and financial resources.
