About the university

UZBEK NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF MUSIC AND ARTS

Based on the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan dated September 2, 2020 No. 536 “On the organization of activities of the Uzbek National Institute of Musical Art named after Yunus Rajabi”, the State Conservatory of Uzbekistan and the State Artistic and Uzbek National Musical Art, the Institute named after Yunus Rajabi was created on the basis of the corresponding educational direction of the Institute of Culture . This is a basic higher education institution that trains personnel in the fields of performing, charity and singing.

For international students

STD. Student Entry Visa (inter-university exchange — for the period of temporary study)

It is issued for up to 1 year to foreign students studying for a short period (based on inter-university exchange or on a temporary basis within the framework of inter-university cooperation) at higher education institutions located in the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and is processed upon the request of educational institutions, ministries, agencies, and organizations of the Republic of Uzbekistan that have a higher education institution at their disposal.

International partnerships

New Prospects for International Cooperation in Contemporary Music

A meeting was held between the Rector of the Yunus Rajabiy National Institute of Uzbek Musical Art, Eldor Shermanov, and the Chair of the Altai Regional Branch of the Union of Composers of Russia, member of the Siberian International Center for Contemporary Musical Art, laureate of international competitions, and renowned composer Olga Dyuzhina.

During the dialogue, the parties comprehensively discussed strengthening bilateral cultural and educational ties, exchanging experience in the field of contemporary music, implementing joint creative projects, and organizing international seminars, training sessions, master classes, and scientific-practical conferences with the participation of faculty and students.

Ms. Olga Dyuzhina also presented an in-depth overview of her creative activity, current trends in contemporary composition, and initiatives aimed at advancing music education and the arts in the Siberian region. She highly praised the reforms being carried out at the institute, as well as the efforts to preserve and promote the national musical heritage through modern interpretations. In addition, she shared her views on elevating cultural cooperation between Uzbekistan and Russia to a new level in the future.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to sign a memorandum of mutual cooperation, organize joint concert programs and creative meetings, and expand opportunities for talented students to participate in international grants and competitions. It was emphasized that such meetings play a significant role in advancing music education and art in the country, promoting national culture достойно on the global stage, and unlocking the creative potential of the younger generation.

Memorandum of Cooperation Signed with Baekseok University

A delegation from Baekseok University, led by Vice President for International Affairs, Professor Beom Joon Kim, paid a visit to the Yunus Rajabiy National Institute of Uzbek Musical Art.

During the meeting, Rector Eldor Shermanov and members of the foreign delegation engaged in a comprehensive exchange of views on the educational processes, scientific activities, creative направления, international experience, and development prospects of the two higher education institutions. The parties placed particular emphasis on cooperation in music education, scientific research, academic exchange, joint international projects, and cultural initiatives.

At the conclusion of the meeting, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the two higher education institutions, which will serve as a solid foundation for the implementation of joint educational programs, scientific and practical projects, and creative initiatives in the future.

Faculties

Faculty – the Uzbek national musical art aims to train performers in the Performing Arts of the Maqom instrument, future composer personnel in the national composition of Uzbekistan, as well as to raise scientific potential in the direction of bakhshiqi and epic, as well as to carry out spiritual and educational work.

The Faculty aims to train professional performers and educators in the art of status singing and Instrumental Performance, to train scientific research, as well as scientific and scientific pedagogical personnel, and to carry out organizational, spiritual and educational work.

The multifaceted activities of the faculty are aimed at promoting the masterpieces of the Uzbek national music heritage in our homeland and abroad, while providing education in the performance of national status as well as its development.

The Uzbek national musical arts, including the widespread promotion of national status performance and the education of student youth as spiritually competent, are among the priorities of the faculty.
