An Environmental Event Was Held as Part of the “Zero Waste Day” Project

Today, environmental issues are among the most pressing challenges facing the global community. Environmental protection, reducing the amount of waste, and fostering environmental awareness among the younger generation are becoming increasingly important. In this regard, the organization of another environmental initiative at Termez University of Economics and Service as part of the “Zero Waste Day” project was a noteworthy and meaningful initiative.

The environmental campaign was carried out at the initiative of the EDUHUB Educational Center, the Student Union, and the university’s International Relations Department. The event was significant not only for maintaining environmental cleanliness but also for promoting social engagement and a sense of collective responsibility among young people.

The main objectives of the event were to clean the university grounds of waste, expand green areas, improve the environmental conditions, and foster a love of nature and a responsible attitude toward the environment among students. Through the campaign, young people gained a practical understanding that environmental responsibility should not be merely a slogan, but should become part of everyday life.

During the environmental event, cleaning and landscaping activities were carried out across the university campus. In particular, green areas were maintained, waste was collected and taken to designated locations, and a number of other activities were undertaken to improve the overall appearance of the surroundings. Faculty members, students, and university staff participated in the activities as one united team.

The students’ enthusiasm, initiative, and responsible approach were particularly appreciated during the event. They not only actively participated in the cleanup activities but also encouraged their peers to follow environmentally responsible practices, demonstrating through their own example the importance of protecting the environment. This further enhanced the educational value of the project.
