Chinese Delegation Inspected the Construction of the New University Branch in Khiva

On April 29, a high-level delegation from Liaoning Province, People's Republic of China, visited Urgench State University. Official negotiations were held between the delegation, led by representatives of the Liaoning Provincial Government and Liaoning Normal University, and the UrSU administration. The discussions focused on the strategic importance of the Liaoning Normal University branch being established in Khiva and the role of the joint Confucius Institute in fostering intercultural development.
The parties reached agreements to expand cooperation in Psychology, Philology, and Engineering, including faculty and student exchange programs. After touring UrSU’s Information Resource Center and China Center, the delegation visited the construction site of the new branch campus in Khiva. They reviewed the campus infrastructure and held discussions on academic organization, student admission procedures, and examination systems. The visit concluded with a cultural tour of the historic "Ichan Kala" complex in Khiva.
