Fields that until recently were regarded as professions of the future are now becoming some of the most in-demand areas in the global labor market. In these circumstances, young people face an important question: which profession should they choose, and will it remain relevant in the future?

On June 12, Samarkand International University of Technology held an Open Day, bringing together applicants, parents and representatives of the education sector who were seeking answers to these very questions. During the event, guests had the opportunity to learn more about the university’s modern educational environment, international academic potential, new academic programs and admission opportunities.

As part of the Open Day, the university’s faculties organized special exhibitions and presentations. Each academic area presented its educational programs, practical projects, modern laboratories and distinctive features of the learning process. Guests became closely acquainted with programs in engineering, energy, information technology, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, intelligent robotics, financial technologies, business, design, tourism and hospitality — some of the most in-demand fields of today and tomorrow.

The event also featured updates on the admissions process for the 2026–2027 academic year. As noted, the university has introduced updated and new academic programs developed in line with labor market needs and global technological trends. In particular, such promising fields as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, intelligent robotics, financial technologies, electrical engineering, renewable energy sources and others have been developed based on current demands.

The international academic environment of SIUT attracted particular interest among the participants. Today, the university employs more than 40 foreign professors and specialists from 14 countries. A significant part of the educational process is conducted by international faculty members, giving students the opportunity to gain international experience, acquire modern knowledge and develop a global outlook.

During the open dialogue, guests received detailed information about international internship and training programs, academic exchange projects, joint programs with international partner universities, as well as opportunities to become competitive specialists in the modern labor market. Participants also received answers to questions regarding the conditions created for students, the practice-oriented education model, participation in international projects and opportunities to gain experience abroad.

Admission benefits and grant programs also drew considerable interest from participants. In particular, it was announced that applicants holding an international language certificate at B1 level are awarded 75% of the maximum score for the foreign language component. Applicants with an English language certificate at B2 level or higher, as well as applicants who have scored 1100 or above on the SAT exam, are exempt from entrance examinations. In addition, founder-funded grants are available for applicants who have scored 1400 or above on the SAT and 8.0 or above on the IELTS international exam. Furthermore, one applicant with the highest result in each academic program will also have the opportunity to receive a founder-funded grant.

During the event, SIUT students also shared their experiences. They spoke about their participation in international competitions, research projects, internship programs and educational trips abroad, highlighting important aspects of studying and student life at the university.

Guests also visited the university’s modern classrooms, laboratories, library and educational resources, gaining the opportunity to see firsthand the international academic environment and modern infrastructure created at SIUT.

The Open Day once again demonstrated that choosing a university today means choosing not only an educational institution, but also a future profession, international experience and new opportunities. By combining modern knowledge, practical experience and a global outlook, SIUT continues to create broad opportunities for young people.

It should be noted that admissions for the 2026–2027 academic year are ongoing at Samarkand International University of Technology.
