Regional governor Botir Zaripov met with Professor Eko Sri Margianti
Today, October 29, a meeting was held at Bukhara State University between the Governor of Bukhara Region, Botir Zaripov, and Professor Eko Sri Margianti, Rector of Gunadarma University (Indonesia), Head of the Indonesia–Uzbekistan Friendship Association, and Tourism Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Indonesia.
At the meeting, Rector of Bukhara State University O.X. Khamidov, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation A. Jo‘rayev, and Press Secretary of the Regional Governor O. Jo‘rayev took part.
The discussion focused on accelerating joint initiatives that were planned during previous visits of the Bukhara regional delegation to Indonesia and Indonesian representatives to Bukhara, particularly in areas of education, culture, and pilgrimage tourism, by identifying necessary practical measures.
It is worth noting that Professor Eko Sri Margianti, who previously visited Uzbekistan as an international observer during the elections of deputies to the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis and local councils, has made an invaluable contribution to fostering cooperation between more than 30 universities in Indonesia and higher education institutions in Uzbekistan.
The meeting also included discussions on the implementation of innovative projects in the tourism sector, and the involvement of professors, lecturers, and researchers from higher education institutions in science and innovation-based initiatives.
Ideas were exchanged on further strengthening bilateral cooperation, especially in the fields of education and tourism.
