The “Young Reader” contest – a celebration of knowledge and spirituality
At the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Economics of Kokand State University, the “Young Reader” contest was held to foster students’ love for books and enhance their intellectual potential.
The event was opened by Deputy Dean Akmaljon Aliqulov, who spoke about the role of reading in the lives of young people and its importance in shaping their thinking and worldview.
During the contest, participants competed in demonstrating their knowledge, deep analysis of books, and ability to express lessons learned from literary works. In the evaluation process, special attention was given to students’ style of expression, understanding of the content of the books they had read, and speech culture.
According to the results of the contest, the winners were determined as follows:
1st place — Chemistry major
2nd place — Physics major
3rd place — Geography major
The winners and prize holders were awarded diplomas and commemorative gifts.
