About the programme

This program is designed to develop the theoretical and practical competencies required for graduates to work as artistic directors, instrumentalists, or performers in various folklore and ethnographic ensembles. Based on State Educational Standards, it provides training in comparative folklore analysis, regional styles, performance traditions, and the creative application of Uzbek oral heritage.

The program aims to provide essential knowledge in the following areas: Uzbek folk narratives, structure and activity of folklore groups, performance styles, analytical approaches to folklore compositions, and performance techniques.

  • Duration: 4 semesters (2 years)

  • Total Credits: 240

  • Total Contact Hours: 900 hours

  • Research and Master’s Thesis: 540 hours

  • Scientific-Pedagogical Work: 210 hours

  • Research Internship: 150 hours
