  The Music Education programme is designed to train music teachers and choir conductors who play an important role in
  the aesthetic upbringing, development of creative abilities and cultural literacy of the younger generation. The dual
  mode of study enables students to combine theoretical preparation with teaching practice at general secondary schools,
   children's music and art schools, and children's creativity centres.

  Programme Objectives

  To prepare highly qualified specialists with profound knowledge of music theory, performance mastery and music
  pedagogy, who value the Uzbek national musical heritage and world musical culture, and who are capable of fostering a
  love of music in children and adolescents.

  • Music Theory and Solfeggio
  • Harmony and Polyphony
  • History of Music (Uzbek national music, music of the East and West)
  • Vocal and Choral Singing
  • Musical Instrument (piano, national instruments)
  • Choir Class and Fundamentals of Conducting
  • Music Pedagogy and Methodology of Teaching
  • Children's Musical Development and Psychology
  • Modern Music Technologies (digital music software)

  Skills Acquired:

  • Methodologically sound delivery of music lessons at general secondary and music schools
  • Organising and conducting school and children's choirs
  • Playing several musical instruments (piano and a national instrument)
  • Familiarising children with the Uzbek national musical heritage and world music
  • Organising school cultural events and music concerts
